AIDS Walk for LIfe September 21

scotiabankWFL08.gif

The 2008 ScotiaBank AIDS Walk for Life happens on Sunday, September 21. The walk, an annual event since 1986, is a fundraiser for the BC Persons With AIDS Society. Last year, the walk raised over $410,000.

The 10K walk goes around Stanley Park, starting at Upper Ceperly Park. There's also a 2K walk around Lost Lagoon.

All participants are asked to wear red, to keep the image of the red AIDS ribbon in the front of everyone's minds.

Registration starts at 8:30 a.m., with pre-walk entertainment starting at 9. The opening ceremonies are at 10, and the walk kicks off at 11. Post-walk entertainment starts up at noon.

You can sign up to raise money and walk in the AIDS Walk for Life here.
