2 movies in 2 days at VIFF -- plus VIFF repeats info

In the last 24 hours I’ve seen two very different movies at the Vancouver International Film Festival.

Last night, I saw Happy Go Lucky – a lovely, funny English movie about a girl who’s, well, happy go lucky. With more laugh-out-loud moments than I’ve experienced at a movie in a long time, it was a great pick.

This afternoon, I enjoyed the luxury of a weekday matinee, taking in In Your Absence. It was a strange little movie, but beautifully shot in the Andalucia area of Spain.

The VIFF is wrapping up soon, but there will be a week of VIFF repeats at the VanCity Theatre on Seymour Street from Oct. 11 - 14. You ca get the scoop on what's playing when here.
