10 Things to Do on a Rainy Vancouver Day

rainyvancouver.jpg

Being born and raised right here in Vancouver, I know all too well that we get a fair amount of rain throughout the year. Just because it's wet outside doesn't mean that you can't go out and enjoy this city! The guys at 999 Today recently compiled a list of ten fun activities and sites you can experience on any given rainy Vancouver day.

  1. Take a culinary tour of Granville Island Market
  2. Recharge in the tropical heat of the glass domed Bloedel Floral Conservatory at Queen Elizabeth Park
  3. Warm your insides with a tongue-tingling jalapeno or chili pepper-and-chocolate gelato from La Casa Gelato,.
  4. Enjoy the tranquility of afternoon tea by the fire in the Bacchus Lounge of the Wedgewood Hotel
  5. Embrace the rain with a guided rainforest tour and gourmet picnic lunch in Lighthouse Park
  6. Take a trek to the remote east-end dockside location of The Cannery Restaurant.
  7. Select some reading material from the 1.2 million books at the coliseum-like Library Square.
  8. Roll out your sleeping bag and overnight next to the beluga whales tank at the Vancouver Aquarium Marine Science Centre
  9. Get lost in the incredible Museum of Anthropology
  10. Catch a matinee. Duck out of the rain and into one of Vancouver's live theatres.
